Meet Dr. Clark
Andrew E. Clark DMD, MS was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida, where he also earned a B. S. degree with honors from The University of Florida in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He was accepted into the University of Florida Dental School in 2006, and graduated in 2010 cum laude. During his junior year he was awarded the William S. Kramer award from the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society which is given to one student "who has demonstrated scholarship, character, and the potential promise for advancement of dentistry and service to humanity." In his senior year, he was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the National Dental Honor Society. He also received the Orthodontic Achievement Award given to the one student who showed the greatest promise in the orthodontic specialty.
After being accepted to the Orthodontic Residency Program at the University of Florida, he received his certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics and then a Master's degree from his thesis on The Prevention of Decalcification During Orthodontic Treatment. Dr. Clark is trained in the latest orthodontic technology including the Damon system, Invisalign, Cone Beam Computed Tomography, Temporary Anchorage Devices (TADS) and surgical orthodontics. His love for orthodontics stems from the ability to make a positive esthetic change to his patients while also being able to improve and maintain the health of their teeth. He has a special interest in multi-disciplinary cases requiring treatment and collaboration from multiple dental specialists.
Dr. Clark has been married to Langley since 2010 and they have a daughter named Leighton. The two met when they were in high school and reconnected after she returned to Gainesville after college for law school. Langley works as a patent attorney specializing in biomedical technology.
He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, working out and watching sports. He has also been known to play a little basketball, although he can't dunk quite like he used to! He particularly enjoys watching college sports and rooting on his favorite teams.
